FAQ

All youth are matched with a licensed therapist who will lead the individual and family sessions and stay with them throughout treatment.

Phase 1 Home Stabilization: Focus on providing a safe, stable foundation for learning and growth, learning or building on foundational emotional skills, and establishing a shared emotional vocabulary. For clients transitioning from higher levels of care this phase is typically shorter as it builds on what they already have learned.

Phase 2 Integration: In phase 2 skills are generalized across different settings ie friends, school, home, etc to form durable habits. With the phase 1 foundation in place, the focus of family sessions shifts to improving communication, rebuilding trust, and continuing improvements to the supportive home environment.

Phase 3 Expansion: Therapy modalities are expanded to support long term healing by resolving root cause concerns including: traumas, self esteem/identity, cognitive distortions.

Our phased approach is designed to match the frequency of visits to your adolescent's needs and reduce frequency as your adolescent progresses until they no longer see us regularly.

After the initial evaluation your teen’s therapists will make a recommendation for treatment types and frequency. In honoring our phased approach, many treatment plans start with 2-3hrs/week in phase 1 and move to 1hr/week in phase 3.

Phase 1 Example:

  • 1-2 Individual sessions/week

  • 1 Family session/week

  • 1 Parent-only session (bi-weekly)

  • Total time in therapy: 2-4 hrs/week

The duration of treatment will be determined by the adolescents clinical needs and progress. If there is a failure to progress, your primary therapist may recommend a different care option. If a long term support need is present your clinician may make a recommendation for continued care.

As a virtual outpatient program we specialize in supporting conditions that can be safely treated from your home without needing a higher level of care. If you are unsure if we would be a good fit for your child, please contact us for a clinical consultation.

We can provide you with a superbill with the details of the services you received. You can send your superbills to your insurance company for attribution toward your benefits and reimbursement when applicable.

You do not need insurance to begin therapy with us. We believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, which is why we offer affordable self-pay options and a sliding fee schedule for those who may need financial flexibility. Our standard session fee is $150 for initial visits and $125 for following visits, and we’re happy to discuss options to help make care manageable for your budget.
